Pothole Blitz Sees Hundreds of Road Repairs
Following the launch of the council’s Action on Potholes campaign, more than 500 potholes were repaired in Southfields and Furzedown last month.
In the second month of the works Wandsworth's repair crews have moved to roads in St Mary's Park, Wandsworth Common and West Putney. A total of three repair crews will remain in these areas throughout June fixing road defects.
Three more crews will be positioned in Earlsfield, Nightingale and West Hill wards, repairing pavements. Bedford and Latchmere already saw pavement improvement work finished in May.
Over the coming months every street in the borough will be inspected as the council continues its pothole and pavement repair project, the cleaners in Putney said.
A total of 526 potholes have been filled since the works began in early May.
